Layers of Fear is on the docket, an hallucinatory horror game from the lovely people at Bloober Team and published by Aspyr. The game won Best Indie Game of 2016 from PC Guru Magazine (in Polish), Best Art Award from Pixel Haven, and Best Horror Game of 2016 from Windows Central. According to the game's official website, "Layers of Fear is a first-person psychedelic horror game with a heavy focus on story and exploration. Delve deep into the mind of an insane painter and discover the secret of his madness, as you walk through a vast and constantly changing Victorian-era mansion. Uncover the visions, fears and horrors that entwine the painter and finish the masterpiece he has strived so long to create." As an added bonus you'll also receive a free copy of the game's original soundtrack!
I do want to give a special shoutout to Bloober Team as they're a Polish game developer and my ancestry is of Polish lineage. So, thanks Poland for proving we're not a country full of stupid morons who can only farm and drool! I've been there twice and if you're looking for a vacation someplace slightly less traveled then you'll love the people, history, and scenery of Poland. Bloober Team is also behind the well received game >observer_, a 2017 first-person horror game that has an aggregate score of about 80/100 across the three platforms is was released on. >observer_ was developed using Unreal Engine 4. Send a note of gratitude to Humble Bundle for showering us with manna and honey! As always, happy (FREE) gaming!
